Prayer schedule

A prayer schedule, so no one is forgotten

PrayerMap is a prayer schedule app. You choose a prayer cycle, from one day to a year, and the times of day you pray, and PrayerMap spreads every item on your prayer list across those sessions. Each person comes around on time, and none is forgotten.

Open the app at prayer time and today's prayers are waiting. There is nothing to plan by hand.

Choose a daily prayer plan that fits your list

A PrayerMap prayer cycle is the stretch of time in which every item on your list is prayed at least once. Pick the one that fits the size of your list, then add your session windows: the times of day you pray, such as morning, midday and evening.

Prayer cycles in PrayerMap
CycleBest for
1 DayRepeats every day; intensive, focused prayer for a short list
WeeklyA 7-day cycle; best for smaller prayer lists
MonthlyA 30-day cycle; balanced coverage for most prayer lists (recommended)
QuarterlyA 90-day cycle; deep, unhurried prayer rhythms
6 MonthsA half-year cycle for items that benefit from long-range coverage
YearlyEvery item prayed at least once across 365 days

A prayer rotation that balances itself

PrayerMap builds a prayer rotation from two kinds of item, so the people closest to you come around often and everyone else still comes around.

  • Session frequency: set an item to a share of your sessions. At 100 percent it is in every session; at 50 percent with morning and evening windows, it comes around about once a day.
  • Priority balanced: leave the frequency blank and a priority weight from 1 to 5 decides how often the item rotates in. Weight 5 items appear roughly five times as often as weight 1 items.
  • Spread across windows: items are shared out between your morning and evening sessions, so no window carries the whole load.
  • Fresh each time: sessions shuffle by default so prayer feels led, or switch to priority order in your profile.

Missed a day? A grace day, at the end of each cycle or on a weekday you choose, brings back anything you missed so you can pray it through before the cycle ends. No guilt, no broken streaks.

Questions about the PrayerMap prayer schedule

How do I make sure I never forget to pray for someone?

Put them on a PrayerMap prayer list and choose a prayer cycle. PrayerMap guarantees every item comes into a session at least once each cycle, and you can set the people closest to you to come around more often. A grace day catches anything you missed.

What is a prayer rotation?

A prayer rotation shares a long prayer list out across your prayer times, so you pray for a few people each session instead of everyone at once. PrayerMap builds the rotation for you from your cycle, your session windows and how often you want each item to come around.

How long should my prayer cycle be?

Most people start with the Monthly cycle, which PrayerMap recommends: every item is prayed at least once in 30 days. Choose Weekly or 1 Day for a short, focused list, and Quarterly, 6 Months or Yearly for a long one.

What happens if I miss a day of prayer?

Nothing breaks. PrayerMap has no streaks to lose. A grace day, at the end of the cycle or on a weekday you choose, brings back the items you missed so you can pray them before the cycle ends.

Can PrayerMap remind me when it is time to pray?

Yes. Turn on prayer reminders and PrayerMap sends a gentle notification as each prayer window approaches, for the sessions you choose.

Every prayer covered. Every answer remembered.
